The other day I rocked my own world as well as Mama Shukuru's by making the world's most kickin refried beans. The burritos were lifechanging. Mama Shukuru demanded that I explain to her how to make them.

This is the daughter of our school nurse. She brought me a bunch of peanuts the other day, which was nice but not noteworthy. What is noteworthy is her shirt. That is a University of Washington Greek Week 2002 shirt (of the Chi Omega variety). I had that same shirt. You never know where your clothes will end up when you give them to goodwill, eh?

Yes, Kali had kittens. Three of them, and they are awesome. They're nearly a month old, just beginning to get all curious and wander about. I haven't named them yet...any suggestions?

Head-size papaya
